Have you ever sat at the circus and watched the tight rope walkers? They glide along a tiny rope with such ease and skill, hundreds of feet above the ground. The intensity of the show only increases as they add challenges to test their abilities – weights, juggling, even carrying other performers on their backs, walking from one end of the rope to the other. I often feel that motherhood can carry these same types of challenges as we walk the thin line from morning to-night, juggling, keeping all of the balls in the air, carrying our families on our backs across from one side to the other, and somewhere in that time, we fit in work, PTO Meetings, doctors’ appointments, a little “me time” and any other of the 1,000 commitments we have, all while staying within a budget that supports our families. Don’t you sometimes wish you could find something that would make this balancing act a little easier?
